Solids...Take 1

 I got a highchair today.

I love it!

 {Is this what it means to eat solids?}

I love my spoon, now where's the food?

That's food?

Let me try it out.

I even get the bowl of food to myself!?!

This is so exciting!!!

I got the spoon in my mouth, but where did the food go?

Eating this solid food stuff was interesting.  I love to chew on the spoon, but the food itself will take some time to get used to.  Daddy did a good job feeding me, but I prefer doing it myself {though I don't get as much food that way, unless Daddy pushes it into my mouth when I bring the spoon to my lips}.

Ballerina at six months

Six months...I've made it!  I just keep growing and learning all the time!  This is what I am doing now...

~I now can roll over from my back to my tummy
~I am now taking baths in the big tub, and I love it!
~I had my first tooth pop through, quickly followed by my second
~I can now roll completely over, and over, and over again!
~At first I could only roll in one direction, but not anymore!
~Let's just say that I am able to get around a lot more!
~Clicking my tongue is so much fun to do all the time
~I am really finding my voice, babbling, singing, and what not
~I have been working on my army crawl
~Do you have any idea how fun it is to splash in the tub?  I discovered this out, and it's amazing!
~Yesterday I said da da, na na together.  That got Mommy and Daddy excited!

Some snapshots from today...

Mommy found me this way when she came to get me when I didn't fall asleep in my crib.  This is the first time I have gotten out of my blankets and I turned myself so that my head and feet are where my hands usually are.  I had fun just playing.

For my six month birthday, Mommy worked really hard and made me a few nice things.  She made me a fluffy tutu with a matching bracelet and bow.  These go perfectly with my ballet shoes.  Now I can be a little ballerina!  Here I am in my tutu...

My size right now...

Clothes~3-6 months and starting to wear some 6-9 months
Diaper~Size 3
Weight and Length will have to wait until I go to the doctor in a few weeks.

Reverse!

My second tooth decided to pop up today.  At first Mommy thought it was just one tooth, but then she realized that it was to wide to be just one.  She was right, my second tooth just came through right next to my first one.

 

Another development... I have mastered going in reverse!

I am really good at getting myself wedged under things, like chars.

The problem is...I don't know how to get myself out!

I will have to work on that one!

While Mommy and I were out shopping, I got to pick out some flowers for Daddy!  I loved the bright yellow ones and let Mommy know that we needed to get them.  I like them so much, and I am glad that I could give them to Daddy to brighten his day!

In Motion

None of this lay there and be still stuff for me anymore. I can move and I will!

I found a few things hiding underneath the coffee table, and had to investigate.

I found tape and Mommy's pens.

I love it when I find new things!

When I tried to get out from under the table I got stuck!

The tables leg won't let me go!

I also worked on taking some steps with Mommy today. I like going backwards!

After I fell down from walking I decided to see how far I can roll. I rolled from the middle of the living room towards the stairs. I then continued to Mommy and Daddy's room. I then got all the way to Mommy and Daddy's closet. This is where I had to stop, though I tried to keep going. The door got in the way, and Mommy couldn't open it without moving me.

For fun Mommy measured how far I rolled and found that I had gone about twenty feet, and in only about ten minutes!

I love that I can move!

First tooth, and my own hearts

I have finally got my first tooth!!!  Want to take a look?  It's to the right of Mommy's finger, on my left bottom.  You can see a little bit of white there if you look really closely.

I also got heart attacked today.  I woke up this morning to lots and lots of hearts and messages from Mommy and Daddy on my door.

I liked them so much that I tried to pull some off.

I had fun playing around on the floor with lots of rolling.  Here I am being silly and all twisted, even my tongue!

Hearts for Daddy

Today Mommy and I decided that we should NOT leave Valentine's Day as the only day to express our love.  So...we decided to surprise Daddy!  Mommy cut out lots and lots of red and white hearts, and I helped with the scraps {they taste good}.  We then wrote down reasons why we love Daddy on each of the hearts.  Mommy then taped them onto the bedroom door while I helped by supervising.

It turned out great!

It was so much fun when Daddy got home.  He had no idea, and he didn't go towards the bedroom right away so Mommy and I acted normal waiting for Daddy to see the hearts.  It was silly because he was holding me while Mommy was making dinner, and they were talking when he took me over towards the bedroom and then stopped talking mid-sentence.

He loved it!!!

Day for LOVES!

It's Valentine's Day, and it has been full of fun with Mommy and Daddy.

Mommy and Daddy brought a beautiful pink rose home for me last night.

New babysitter

Tonight Mommy and Daddy went out without me!

Can you believe it!  I can't!  I mean...Mommy's friend is nice and all...and I was fine having her around, but that is when Mommy and Daddy are home too!

So this is what happened...

Mommy's friend, Nichole, came to see Mommy and meet me this afternoon.  I liked staring up at her while I was sitting on Mommy's lap.  After we all visited for a while I got tired so Mommy put me down for a nap.  The next thing I know it's Nichole getting me out of my crib after I woke up and changed my diaper, but that was okay.  After that she took me into our main room, and that is when I realized that something was not right.  I kept looking around for Mommy and Daddy, but I couldn't find them anywhere!  I didn't like this, and I let Nichole know it.

After a while Mommy and Daddy finally came home!  I was so glad to see them again!  I hope they don't leave me again, I really missed them!

Nichole stayed and talked with Mommy and Daddy, and after a while I was okay to go to her again for a little while.  She was really nice, and tried to make me happy.

Tonight I treated Mommy and Daddy to dinner to celebrate Valentine's Day with them.  We went to one of their favorite places to eat...Noodles and Company.  It is such a fun place, and I loved looking around.  And everyone just loved looking at me!
