My first taste of Halloween

Happy Halloween!  Today was a busy day for me(especially tonight).  Mommy finished up carving our pumpkin(it turned out so pretty!), and then we got ready for the night.  Daddy got me all dressed up in my little lamb costume.  When we were ready to go, we went to the church for a Trunk-or-Treat(I even got some candy).  After we were done at the church, we went to someones house that Daddy knows from school.  When we finally got home I took a long nap(I was really tired).

When I woke up we had some real fun.  Mommy and Daddy took pictures of me in my lamb costume, then put me into another one...the pumpkin!!!

Pumkin carving

We are carving the huge pumpkin today.  Daddy gutted it, and then got the seeds ready to roast tomorrow.  After he finished getting all of the gooey stuff out of it, Mommy weighed the pumpkin, and it weighed over 32 pounds!  Mommy didn't have time to finish it tonight, so she will tomorrow.  I can't wait to see how it turns out, it looks pretty so far!

Better now

Mommy scared me.  I was laying on the changing table, and Mommy was doing something on the floor next to it, when all of the sudden she popped up.  I wasn't expecting her, so I got really scared and started to cry.  Mommy picked me up, and held me telling me that she didn't mean to scare me.  I know she didn't, and I feel much better now that she cuddled with me for a little while.

Look at what I got!

This afternoon, Mommy took me out to the mailbox to get the mail with her.  When we opened it up we found a key.  This key went to one of the bigger mailboxes, so we opened it up, and guess what we found inside...a package from Mama Holly!  Mommy and I quickly went back home, and then opened it up to see what we got.  We found lots of fun things inside.  Mama Holly sent me my Halloween costume(to find out what I will be you have to wait for Halloween), another cute Holly dress for me to wear, some different colors of headbands and more bows to go on them, a CD with Lullabies on it for me to listen to, the sparkley buttons so Mommy can finish my quilt, and then some other stuff for Mommy.  I like getting packages in the mail!

My Mobile

I love laying in my crib.  Do you know why?  Because I have a fun mobile to look at.  This mobile is not your typical kind of mobile, this one is homemade by Mommy.  One night, when she was still pregnant with me, she went to the church for an activity, and loved the decorations.  One of the decorations gave her an idea.  The ceiling had clear string hung all across it with some strings that hung down.  On these strings were little pieces of shiny paper.  Mommy decided that she wanted that in my room.  So she and Daddy hung some clear sting above my bed and then put fun, colorful, shiny paper on some stings to hang down above me while I am in bed.  I will often fall asleep while I stare mesmerized by them, or laugh at them while they dance around when I wake up.

After my bath, I decided that I wanted to play a game of Peek-A-Boo.  I got the hood of my towel over my face all by myself, and then got it back off again.

Pumpkin picking

I got to go and pick out my very first pumpkin today.  After Daddy got home we all got into the car, and drove to a farm.  This farm had a lot of pumpkins in the front yard.  These pumpkins were huge, even bigger then me.  Mommy, Daddy and I looked at them all and then decided on the best one.  Daddy thinks that it's so big that I would be able to fit inside of it.  I guess we will find out when we carve it.  I am looking forward to it!

Waiting for Daddy to come home

Not my shots

I am so happy, instead of me getting shots, it was Mommy and Daddy's turn to get them today.  We left this morning after I woke up and ate, to go to a mass swine flu vaccination clinic.  We got there more than an half hour before it opened, but there was already a huge line out the door.  After a little while it started to lightly rain, but Mommy and Daddy forgot an umbrella.  Luckily the nice couple that were in front of us had an extra one that they let us borrow.  We stood in line for over an hour to get the shot, and I slept the entire time.  The couple said that they were really surprised and impressed with me, and so was Mommy and Daddy.

See how happy I am that I didn't have to get the shot today

Sleepy little girl

The last few days I have been more tired than usual.  Mommy has had to wake me up from my naps a few times to remind me that I am hungry.  You would think that it would have been the opposite because I am now sleeping longer at night.  I have had a few naps during the day that have been about four hours long.  This is when Mommy comes in to wake me up.  She wants to make sure that I get enough food during the day to keep me happy and healthy.

Sleeping through the night, and shots

Last night I slept the whole night without waking up.  It felt good to get so much sleep, and not waking up hungry in the middle of the night.  Mommy was so excited the next morning, and told me that she is very proud of me.  I am glad that Mommy will be able to get more sleep now.

Today I had to go to the doctors again.  It was the usual thing of checking my weight, head, and length measurements.  I am now 12 pounds 8 1/2 ounces, 22 3/4 inches long, and my head is 38 1/2 centimeters.  The different part about the doctor visit this time was that I had to get shots.  Since Mommy knew this she made sure Daddy came, to help out.  I did not like the shots at all.  I wish that I didn't have to do that again!

Showing off my battle wounds from the doctors office.
