Sucking on my toes

I have discovered something new for me to suck on (I am always on the look out). I found it while playing with my feet. I realized the I can pull my feet all the way up to my mouth. I can then put my toes into my mouth, and enjoy them.

Mommy is okay with this right now since I can't walk yet, and get my feet all dirty.

Back HOME!

Last night I was so excited to be back in my own room. I got to sleep in me own crib, and I was so excited to see my mobile again (I missed being able to watch it as I fall asleep). I even missed my changing table. It is so good to be home!

Today I had to go to the doctors office. I got to push it back almost a month because we were out of town, but they got me today. I was measured first off, and I now weigh 15 pounds and 14 1/4 ounces, I am 26 1/4 inches long, and my head is 42 1/2 centimeters around. I am growing like I am supposed to. The doctor said that I am healthy, and even a little on the skinny side compared to how long I am. After the doctor finished looking at me, I had to get some more shots. Mommy was so nice and tried to help me by playing Pat-A-Cake with me to distract me. I cried a little bit when they did it, but Mommy quickly picked me up afterward, and held me so I felt okay. I was tired so since we were all done, when Mommy put me into the car I fell fast asleep and forgot all about the shots. I didn't even need medicine.

Oh, and my doctor finally let Mommy know all about my teeth that are growing. He could feel four of them on the bottom, and three or four on top. He said that I might have about five decide to pop up at about the same time.

Saying goodbye and going home

While I have been staying at my grandparents, I have usually slept in the living room. When my cousins wake up they like to come an see me, like Kabria did this morning. I was a wake and she decided to give me some things to play with. Kabria threw a little pillow into my playpen, and also a movie. The movie hit me on my head, but I knew that she was wanting to play with me, so I gave her a big smile. While Mommy and Daddy got everything ready to leave I got to play with Kabria on the floor. She took good care of me. She got me the pillow, a stuffed animal, and covered us with a blanket. I am going to miss playing with my cousins.

A wedding, baptisms, and playing with Grandpa

Today was an extremely busy day! It started out with my Aunt Krystal getting married, then Grandpa-Great and Marti got baptized, and then I got to play with Grandpa. It was such a wonderful day!!!

I knew that something special was going on, and I watched very closely as Marti, and then Grandpa-Great were both baptized. Then when Grandpa-Great was confirmed I was really happy, and I wiped the happy tears from Mommy's cheeks.

This is my last night before we go back to Michigan, so I got to spend some quality time with Grandpa. I was mesmerized by him as he gently spoke to me.

We also had some laughs to share before bed.

Tummy to back, I rolled over!

After months of getting really close, I finally did it! I rolled over completely on my own! No positioning, no pushing, no pulling, and no bribing. I did it all by myself. I surprised Mommy and Daddy, so much so that Mommy didn't see it. She was in the other room running when Daddy called, but I was done when she got here (but I did do it again later that night for her to see).

Finding my toes

My toes are often covered, but I try to take any opportunity that I can to grab them when they are free. This is usually when I am getting a diaper change, bath time, or when they change my clothes.

Oh, a side note that everyone should know...I hate formula!!! The other morning Daddy tried to let Mommy sleep in by trying to feed me after I woke up. It was a nice gesture for Mommy, but when Daddy gave me the bottle of formula, and I took my first sip of it, I immediately pushed the bottle out with my tongue, and would not let it near me again. That stuff is disgusting!

My Blessing Day

Today was a special day for me. Daddy gave me a name and a blessing. This is how it all went:

Grandpa was the one that Conducted (with the bishop presiding)

Aunt Shelly played the music (with some help from cousin Julie)

Aunt Rachelle lead the music

We sang the first verse of "I am A Child of God"

Mama Holly gave the opening prayer

Daddy blessed me with lots of help from Grandpa, Uncle Kevin, Uncle Jacob, Uncle Carson, Uncle Jake, Mommy's Uncles Kameron, Templar, and Quin, and her cousin Chad, Daddy's friend Mike, and Bishop Eddington. It was a big circle.

(Daddy blew bubbles at me before the blessing to make sure I would stay happy, and I did)

Aunt Celeste then gave the closing prayer

and then we went to eat.

Getting all dressed up. I wore the dress that Mommy wore when she was blessed. Mama Holly had made it for her years ago, but she did replace the ribbons and the pearls with lace. I love to hold onto all of the fabric.
